Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at familydj.com (the "Site"), operated by Family DJ LLC ("Family DJ," "we," "us"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

These Terms cover the website only. They are separate from the service contract you sign when you book Family DJ for an event. Your event services are governed entirely by that signed contract, not by these Terms.

Using the Site

The Site is provided for informational purposes and to let you request a booking or contact us. You agree to use it lawfully and not to:

  • attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems;
  • submit false information or other people's information without permission;
  • circumvent spam or security protections (such as the form bot-check).

Bookings, quotes, and rates

  • Submitting a booking-request or contact form does not create a binding agreement and does not reserve a date.
  • Prices shown on the Site are estimates and may change. Rates are confirmed only in a signed service contract, and (per that contract) are not guaranteed until the contract is signed and the deposit is received.
  • A booking becomes binding only through a separate written service contract signed by both parties.

Intellectual property

The Site's content — including text, the Family DJ name and logo, layout, and images — is owned by Family DJ LLC or its licensors (including credited photographers) and is protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse it without our prior written permission. Photographs supplied by third-party photographers remain the property of those photographers and are used with permission/credit.

Photos you send us

We welcome event photos from clients and photographers. If you send us photos (by email, a shared album, or a cloud link), the following applies:

  • You keep ownership. You (or the photographer) keep all rights in your photos. You're only giving us permission to use them, not handing them over.
  • Permission to use. By sending us a photo you grant Family DJ LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to use, display, and share it to promote Family DJ — on this Site and our social accounts. Photographer credit is given where one is due (with a backlink on request).
  • You confirm you have the right to share it. Please send only photos you took or are authorized to share. Photos often include other people — by sending them you confirm you have the necessary permission from the people shown (or their parent/guardian) for the use described here.
  • Children. Take extra care with photos that include children. Only send images of a child if you are that child's parent or guardian, or have the parent's or guardian's permission.
  • Removal on request. Changed your mind, or want a photo taken down? Email us at the address on our Contact page and we will remove it from the Site and, where we're able, from our social posts. We may keep a copy where required for our records or by law.

We are not obligated to use, publish, or keep any photo you send, and we may edit or crop photos for display.

Third-party content and links

The Site links to and embeds content from third parties, including review platforms (e.g., WeddingWire, Google) and maps. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, ratings, or sites. Ratings shown via review widgets originate on those platforms; click through to verify them at the source.

Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that information on it is complete or current. Any service-related warranties are addressed solely in your signed service contract.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Family DJ LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Liability relating to booked DJ services is governed by, and limited as stated in, your signed service contract.

Indemnification

You agree to hold Family DJ LLC harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes relating to the Site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Frederick County, Virginia.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
