Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-12 · Effective date: 2026-06-12
This Cookie Policy explains how the website at familydj.com (the "Site") uses
cookies and similar technologies. It supplements our
Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies (such as local storage) work the same way. They help a site function, remember preferences, and—where you allow it—measure usage.
Our approach
We keep cookies to a minimum. We set only strictly necessary cookies. Our analytics is cookieless — it sets no cookies and collects no personal information — so there is no cookie-consent banner. We do not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies.
Categories we use
Strictly necessary (always on):
- Session and security cookies needed to operate the Site and protect forms (including the request-forgery token).
- Cloudflare security / Turnstile, used to deliver the Site and tell humans from bots on our forms.
Analytics (cookieless — no cookies set):
- We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool, to understand aggregate Site usage (such as page views). It sets no cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal information.
Third-party features that may set their own cookies
Some pages embed third-party tools that may set cookies or use local storage when those pages load or when you interact with them:
- PayPal — on the legacy payment page (
/payment), choosing to pay sends you to PayPal's site, which sets its own cookies for secure card processing. - Stripe (planned; not yet live) — once Stripe-hosted checkout is added, the payment page will load Stripe, which may set its own cookies for secure card processing.
- Review widgets (e.g., WeddingWire, Google) — when a review widget is displayed, the platform may set its own cookies.
These are controlled by the respective providers; see their policies for details.
Managing cookies
- Our analytics is cookieless, so there is no analytics cookie to accept or decline; we set only strictly necessary cookies.
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Site (such as form submission).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above will change.
